The Restaurant is a must have experience, a balanced menu coupled with the best wines from the Banfi selection. If you are travelling near Siena and you are passionate about wines, Banfi is a must. Here you can find some of the best Brunello di Montalcino bottles. I did bot try the hotel rooms, so i can't rate them, anyway think about a lunch in the Taverna. I did not stay here but came for the wine tasting and dinner. We wanted to book the wine tour but unfortunately it was full. Instead we decided to do the reserve wine tasting before dinner. You get four different pours. Lisa was our sommelier and she was amazing. She’s so knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. If the review was just of the wine tasting and Lisa it would have been five stars easily! The dinner was a five course set meal. Dinner started at 7:30 and the the service was very attentive at first but I was surprised how long it was. We didn’t get our dessert until almost 11:00pm based on how the courses came out. Waiters also started disappearing slowly. Food was good but some dishes wasn’t quite there for me.
